Joining Reformation’s staff in 1990, Janice Bunting has been a Lutheran Church musician for more than twenty years. She currently directs three choirs, one at each worship service, the Instrumental Ensemble at 9:30 at non-traditional worship service and the Brass Quartet with timpani on Festive Sundays. She studied piano under Mrs. Velma McIntyre and organ under Mr. Walter Sneed and Thomas Marshall. Ms. Bunting earned her Church Music Certificate from Virginia Wesleyan College.
Ms. Bunting has actively served in other capacities. She presented several workshops on Multicultural Church Music at Power in the Spirit, a Virginia Synod sponsored 2-day educational event at Roanoke College, Salem, Va. And at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Region 9 event. She has served as Virginia Synod Evangelism Chairperson and also served two consecutive terms on the Virginia Synod Council. Back to TopLinda Lamma was graduated in 1986 from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, she worked as a substitute teacher in Shenandoah County Public Schools and was involved with several ministries of Morning Star Lutheran Church, west of Mt. Jackson, Va. Ms. Lamma moved to Newport News when she married her husband in 1988 and became involved in various ministries of Reformation Lutheran Church. Before having children, Linda taught for five years in two Newport News private schools, Trinity Lutheran School and Denbigh Christian Academy. She has volunteered at the Newport News City Public Schools where her children attend. Ms. Lamma continues her ministry at Reformation Lutheran Church and currently serves as the Director of Christian Education. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, visiting her family, playing the piano, reading books, and sewing. Learn more about Christian Education.
Back to TopKathy Williamson graduated from Trocaire College in Buffalo, New York with an AAS in Early Childhood Education. In 1977, she moved to Newport News and accepted a job with KinderCare Learning Centers as an afternoon teacher. During her 10 years of employment, she served in the capacities of teacher, assistant director, director and area manager. As a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Ms. Williamson serves in various capacities including 6 years on the church council. In 1998, Reformation Lutheran Church decided to begin the childcare center. Kathy was selected as the director, but left after the center was functioning. In 2002, Ms. Williamson returned as director of the childcare center. Kathy is married with 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Learn more about RLC Childcare.
Back to TopMichele Flores, who spent most of her childhood in Germany, was graduated from Franz-Oberthuer Schule with a degree in Photography in 1983. Ms. Flores came to Virginia in 1989 and worked with Mercedes-Benz as a bilingual secretary prior to their closure/relocation to North Carolina. Ms. Flores career path includes working with Amerigroup Corporation in Virginia Beach as a Business Development Coordinator, and Sunterra Financial Services, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV, as their East Coast Regional Manager.
Ms. Flores’ greatest delight is being mom to her six year old son, Ricardo, and loves spending time with him and husband, Mark. After being a stay at home mom for two years, Michele decided to return to work and found Reformation calling her name. She has been with us since July 2005.
Michele’s hobbies include reading, scrap-booking, traveling annually to see her family in Germany and taking long walks in the park.
