Social Outreach Ministry

Social Ministry extends Christian compassion and concern for the community by making the congregation aware of issues relating to disadvantaged people, social injustice, and environmental degradation.
Social Ministry works in concert with:
- Denbigh United Christian Outreach (DUCO) that offers emergency food, financial assistance, job placement, and emotional and spiritual support
- Menchville House that provides shelter for women in transition, offering long term shelter (6-18 months) and resources to rebuild self-esteem, live independently, and to contribute to their community
Lutheran World Relief that seeks lasting solutions to poverty and injustice
- Fair Coffee Exchange that provides independent coffee growers fair market price for their coffee so that they can provide housing, food, health care for their families while protecting the environment
- Submits minutes and reports five days before the Church Council meeting
- Submits an annual report to the Church Council by the second Tuesday of December
