Dmitri Shteinberg is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Piano in the Department of Music at Virginia Commonwealth University. He holds Doctorate and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Tel-Aviv Rubin Academy of Music. He is a prize-winner in 20 competitions worldwide, including the first prize in the "Citta de Senigallia" International Competition in Italy.
His repertoire includes Sonata Op. 111 in C minor - Beethoven, Sonata Op. 29 in C minor - Prokofiev, Three Fantasy Pieces, Op. 111 - Schumann, and Sonata Hob. XVI/6 in G Major - Haydn.
Dr. Shteinberg has been described by the New York Times as "protean and refined" and by the Salt Lake Tribune as "a solid talent and full of musical verve."
The concert is opened to the public. A free-will offering will be received and, after expenses, matched by Thrivent Financial. A reception will follow the concert.
