
Robin Welch studied with Christopher Parkening at Montana State University at Boxeman and with Jose de Azpiazu in Geneva, Switzerland. Early in his career Welch lived in Linz, Austria where he taught music, directed a church choir, and studied at the Bruckner Conservatory. His performances have taken him through seven European countries and notable locations that include performances for the President of Austria, the Ambassador from Spain, and Governor Wilder. Locally, Welch performed at the Virginia Museum in Richmond and the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk.
Robin teaches guitar at Hampton University. He is the president and artist-in-residence for the York River Symphony Orchestra.
The concert is open to the public.
