The structure of the liturgies at each service is rooted in the historic mass of the Lutheran Church. The 11:00 a.m. liturgy incorporates music written in the late 20th century and early 21st centuries supported by Reformation’s instrumental ensemble.
Nursery Care is provided as a service to all who worship at Reformation from newborns to children approaching their 5th birthday during the 11:00 am worship service.
The worship of God is at the heart of our life together at Reformation Church. When we come together to worship, we offer our adoration, praise and thanksgiving to God, who made known God’s love for us by assuming our humanity in the person and ministry of Jesus Christ, who lived, died and rose so that we might be at peace with God and with one another. Worship brings us in contact with God’s Good News that points out to us where we have not measured up, but assures us of God’s forgiveness and offers us hope of living our life in accordance with God’s will. When we gather for worship, we experience God’s love when we receive in Bread and Wine the Body and Blood of Christ for the forgiveness of our self-centered manner of living.
All the activities, events, and ministries flow from the one essential core of the Church – worshipping God. At Reformation, our worship follows the historic Christian liturgy of the Mass (as defined in the Augsburg Confession, Article 24) – the gathering of God’s people to celebrate God’s love.
Our worship services are:
Sundays 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Thursdays Noon Mass
When you visit Reformation, you see that there are many people involved in support of the Mass – assisting ministers, lectors, acolytes, ushers, choirs, and clergy. But, no matter the form of our worship, it is always Gospel centered. We focus on the redeeming life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We look forward to worshipping with you and lifting our hearts and voices in praise, prayer and thanksgiving together. Learn more about Reformation.
Children are encouraged to join their parents in one of our worship services: 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The front few rows of the sanctuary are the best vantage points for a child to see and experience the various parts of the service. Each service includes a children’s sermon where children are invited to come forward and listen to one of our pastors. Parents may ask the ushers for a folder that has a children’s bulletin, blank sheets of paper and colored pencils for the child to use during worship. Communion is celebrated every Sunday. Children are welcome at the table to receive a blessing if they have not taken a first communion class.
Restrooms and water fountains are located in both hallways of the building. Because it is distracting to others for people to walk in and out of the worship service, children are encouraged to use the restroom and get a drink just before the service begins.
There is a nursery available during worship in the nursery for children from birth to 5 years old for parents who wish to use this service.
