Who we are
Reformation Lutheran Church was founded in 1961 as part of the old United Lutheran Church. The following year it became part of the Lutheran Church in America and then in 1988 the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Congregation was formed as a means of having a Lutheran presence in the Denbigh section of Newport News. Since 1961, Reformation has served our community in many and various ways. In 1998 the Reformation Lutheran Childcare was formed, serving children in our area from infancy through pre-school. The Congregation works with local charities like Thrive, Menchville House, the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula and Lutheran agencies like World Hunger Appeal and Lutheran Social Services. We are a people who believe in salvation by grace through the gift of faith and all are welcome in our family of faith. We hope you will join us Sundays at 9:45 AM. and for special services throughout the year. God's Work, Our Hands. Come as you are.
